The movements of the celestial bodies are reflected on the Earth. The conjunction of the Sun and the Moon manifests itself on the coasts of the world. The oceans eclipse together with the celestial bodies, giving rise to high and low tides.

On the flat coasts of the Netherlands, a sand dome was formed from material dug out of the ground to create a mirror of water.
The dome was reflected in the water completing the sand sphere, while eclipsing the ground mirror with its reflection.

The ephemeral installation was created to align with friends, the Sun and the Moon at the eclipse on June 10, 2021 in Bloemendaal aan Zee, The Netherlands./
